Lesson 4 (part3)

God is the source of all love and his love for us in Christ is to be the foundation of our love and what governs, guides, and colors every expression of our love. In the beginning God brought Adam and Eve together in the first marriage. It was love at first sight. Adam saw Eve and spoke the first poem--Eve was his missing piece! Within this sacred union they were to enjoy and express their interdependent unity and fulfill God's command to fill the earth by being one in flesh. Thus, from the start sexual intimacy is a gift from God that he designed to be expressed between husband and wife within marriage. Sadly the fall into sin has corrupted every person's sexual desire (along with all our other desires) and its godly expression. Join us as we go to God's Word to consider his definition and designs for passionate love (eros).
