Lesson 8 (part2)

As the gospel spread among the Gentiles in the early days of the church, the Apostolic teaching on sex and marriage clashed more and more with a pagan culture that accepted and even promoted sexual promiscuity and homosexual behavior. New converts to Christ were themselves escaping from the practices they had once embraced to follow Jesus. In response, Paul and the others spoke the truth and held the line about ungodliness while simultaneously promising forgiveness and God's empowering grace to all who repent and believe.
