This year marks the 1700th anniversary of the Council of Nicaea, from whom we have received the Nicaean Creed. This creed (along with the Apostles' and Athanasian Creeds) is confessed by all of Christendom and was written at a time of Christological controversy to declare the truth about the Son of God--his deity, incarnation, and work--and to simultaneously defend against error and false teaching. Through this study we will grow in our appreciation of the Trinity--in particular the person and saving work of God the Son.
