Lesson 4

This week we will further investigate the importance and function of creeds by comparing the Apostles' and Nicene Creeds. We'll see that because the Nicene Creed was written in response to the Arian heresy (that denied the eternal deity of God's Son, Jesus Christ), it aims to confess what we can say from Scripture about the relationship between God the Father and the Son while describing the personal union of deity and humanity in Jesus Christ.
