Today we get a historical sketch of the first Christian Roman Emperor, Constantine, and learn about a false teacher named Arius, whose over-reliance on logic led him to deny the deity of God the Son. From Scripture we know that Jesus' eternal deity is essential for our salvation and must be maintained against all heresies--ancient and modern.
